Before I mention anything I'd like to inform everyone not to register in the forums. The forums is not needed, we have a social engine which gives us the ability to chat in here. So Do Not Register in the forums. I am going to remove the link tonight when I go home.

 

Now, I like to apologize for the delay of any updates on the site. I've been busy and lazy. True story. I already have a lot of code written and ready to be uploaded but I've been sort of procrastinating and delaying. Im sorry for this and I  guarantee you all that I will update the codes today or Tomorrow for sure for sure. If I dont do it, I'll donate $50 to a unicef Haha. Anywho, you will notice the updates, especially a new logo change.

I am happy to announce that after spending a few hours I finished and installed an ajax picture rating application. You can now view/vote and test it on your and other user's profiles.

 

Still developing a module for the forums and I appologize for the site logo. I accidentally erased it from the server and do not have a backup so I am going to have to make a new one. If anyone has the old GCX logo saved somewhere please PM me and send it to me because I lost mine :).

Hi there.

 

I apologize for my absence over the past few weeks, I have been working none stop on some programming projects and have been nonetheless focused on my school work. I am not able to do participate in the events that happen on this website along with some development of it.

 

I have successfully finished a new plugin; Chat room, it is javascripted and it does not connect to any irc networks. The chatroom relies on the GCX server to function therefore we do not acquire anyone extra registration or avoid any server problems.

 

Also, we now have a Ratings Function. You can now rate pictures on peoples profile's as well as their albums pictures.

 

I also have some extra good plugins on the way. I am working on a Discussion Boards for the Groups which is nearly done, and I am installing a forum for everyone in the community to connect and chat. Also near the future, I will have a system where users can upload music/videos and share it with the rest of the community :)

The subject of this article sums it all basically. The GameCraftX Community is now accepting partnership with other networks and websites. We can uphold an advertisement and also will do link trade. Under the new tab Affiliation in homepage we will put your website under the list and you will do the same to GameCraftX. 

 

We are limited to partnering with some websites so therefore please contact me via Admin [at] GameCraftX [dot] com or login to your GCX account and Private Message me. I will inform of you the restrictions we have to follow (its not much, basically nothing illegal) and we can arrange something :) .  

 

     GameCraftX is looking for staff!. I work on the GameCraftX programming end alone and perhaps its best if its kept that way but I am looking for Management staff. Users that can monitor the website; post important news, keep users up to date and provide support to users, keep the website clean, make sure users are following regulations and protect us from spammers :).

 

You do not need any prior knowledge of programming/web developing to become staff. The requirments are:

• Positivity, Dedication.
• Passion for Network Administration.
• Reliable and Trust worthy.
• Proper grammar and proper form of speech.

I know they sound cheesy but they are needed. If you want to apply for staff simply login to your GCX account and PM me and I will reply to you within 24 hours if you got a position if not I am sorry you will not be receiving any replies.

 

GCX Network Management. 

We have successfully implanted a new plugin to the community website; the Events Plugin!.

 

This new update give us the features to mark important dates; create events such as parties and invite and or make your friends aware of the events you are attending to.

 

The settings are simple, once your logged in click on Events under the navigation tab, you will see a calender which would indicate your events list if you had any. Click on Create New Event to create an event and then you will see some forms which you have to fill regarding your event.

 

Your events are visible by your friends or if its public then by everyone in your profile. There is a calender in your profile which represents the upcoming events or past events. The yellow colored date is to show the current date not any sort of events.

I would also like to announce that the GameCraftX Community although looks like its in pretty good shape, it is undergoing a lot of construction. Recently I have finished upgrading and doing some major changes and we are now standing at Version 2.20 of GameCraftX Social Network. For example, the index page has changed a lot (coding wise), and visually not so much. 

 

I have been spending some good hours working on some new addons for the community:

1. Top Friends application, Music Player for profile application, Discussion Boards for Groups
2. Home Page; Adding Recent Events, Recent Blog Entries and Recently Opened Groups
3. Home Page & Profile Page; Community and User Statistics.

And I shall update you guys soon with new features and new news.
